Match each release to its quarter
The reference quarter identifies the period the CPI figures describe. The release on 23 January 2026 covers the December 2025 quarter, while the release on 23 April 2027 covers the March 2027 quarter. Read the quarter alongside its publication date.
Keep monthly price releases separate
The table lists quarterly CPI releases at 10:45 New Zealand time. Stats NZ also publishes monthly selected price indexes, which are not included in the table. It says it will publish a monthly CPI from 2027, but no monthly CPI date is on its calendar yet.
