Where the data comes from, what we check, and what we publish.
The rules differ by data type. Each API has its own methodology and limits.
Sources
Economics comes from government statistics offices and other official publishers. The coverage table names them.
FX comes from licensed or approved providers. Commercial provider names stay private unless attribution is required.
Before publication
- Match the source, dataset, release, and period.
- Check fields, units, timestamps, and completeness.
- Normalize formats without filling missing values.
- Store the accepted observation and its evidence.
Bad source data does not replace the last accepted result. Missing values stay missing.

Private
Credentials, private URLs, provider IDs, routing, contracts, internal schemas, and monitoring details.

Sources can delay or revise data. The public beta has no service-level guarantee. Narwhal data is not financial, legal, tax, accounting, or trading advice.
