Latest 10-year minus 2-year spreads
A yield curve is inverted when the 10-year yield is below the 2-year yield. The table shows each country's latest 10-year minus 2-year spread in percentage points; curve measures differ by country.

Common questions
What is the 10-year government bond yield in the euro area?
3.37% on 27 Oct 2026, as published by European Central Bank.
Is the Euro area yield curve inverted?

Which countries have an inverted yield curve?
Check the table above, updated daily from each source. A negative 10-year minus 2-year spread means inversion. For API data, use the 10-year and 2-year maturities from GET /v1/economics/{country}/yield-curve.
How often is the curve updated?
The ECB publishes the curve on the next business day. All points share one source date. Weekends and holidays may have no new curve.
How far back does the daily history go?
Daily history is available from 6 September 2004. Available maturities: 3, 6 and 9 months, then 1 to 30 years in yearly steps. Missing terms are omitted.
Does the euro area offer a second yield curve?
Use curve_type=spot_svensson_all_issuers for the ECB curve covering all euro area central government issuers: 3, 6 and 9 months, then 1 to 30 years in yearly steps, with daily history from 6 September 2004.
Why do yield curves differ between countries?
United States: Nominal par yield (US Department of the Treasury). United Kingdom: Continuously compounded nominal zero-coupon yield (Bank of England). Germany: Svensson spot yield (Deutsche Bundesbank). Japan: Constant-maturity JGB yield to maturity (Ministry of Finance, Japan). Canada: Zero-coupon (discount) yield (Bank of Canada). Sweden: Government bill and bond benchmark yields (Sveriges Riksbank). Norway: Government security zero-coupon yields (Norges Bank). Australia: Government bond yield to maturity (Reserve Bank of Australia). Euro area: AAA-rated government bond spot rates (European Central Bank). Compare each curve's shape over time. The same maturity label does not make different measures interchangeable.
