At a glance
Every Massive figure comes from massive.com pages and documents read on 3 November 2026, with no account. Prices are for the individual Stocks plans unless marked Business. Massive does not state how many tools its hosted MCP server has, so this page leaves that out. Narwhal API is owned and operated by Nusantara Ventures, LLC.

Price at your usage
Massive's paid plans have no call count and Basic is limited to 5 calls a minute, so a price per 1,000 calls cannot be computed. Used nonstop, 5 a minute would allow 216,000 calls in 30 days (5 x 60 x 24 x 30). Narwhal's price per 1,000 calls is plan price divided by included calls, times 1,000: Basic $59 / 100,000 x 1,000 = $0.59, Pro $149 / 1,000,000 x 1,000 = $0.149.
| Requests per month | Narwhal API | Massive |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | Free: $0/month | Basic: $0. At 5 calls a minute, 1,000 calls take 200 minutes. Personal use only |
| 10,000 | Basic: $59/month | Basic: $0, but 10,000 calls take 2,000 minutes, about 33 hours. Starter at $29 a month removes the limit |
| 100,000 | Basic: $59/month | Starter: $29 a month ($24 billed yearly), 15-minute delayed data, personal use. A product for customers starts at Stocks Business, $1,599 a month billed yearly |

The product shows data to customers
Massive's individual plans cover personal, non-commercial use, and customer-facing display needs a Business plan. Stocks Business lists at $2,499 a month, or $1,999 with a 12-month commitment. Narwhal Free includes commercial app use.
Your data is not American
Massive's economy endpoints are US only, and its docs list no non-US venues. Narwhal publishes national series for 37 countries and lists stocks from 42 exchanges, such as London, Korea Exchange, Toronto and NSE India.
Agents and apps should share one quota
Massive's hosted MCP server signs in with OAuth and follows your plan. It keeps 64 MB of working storage per session and allows 10 concurrent workspaces. Narwhal's 80 MCP tools use the same key and monthly quota as REST.
When they are the better pick
Massive is the better pick for American market data. It claims 55+ venues and 32K+ tickers for stocks, OPRA options across 20 exchanges, more than 13,000 indices, about 1,200 currency pairs and about 600 crypto pairs. Paid plans have no per-minute limit. Stocks Advanced at $199 a month gives real-time data, quotes and 20+ years of history. Starter at $29 adds websockets and S3 flat files. Its inflation series starts in 1947 and Treasury yields in 1962. Narwhal has no options data and no Tokyo listings.
Questions
Is Massive the same company as Polygon.io?
Massive's stocks page says it is the same platform under a new name. Its migration documents say Polygon.io endpoints continue to work.
Is there a free Massive plan?
Yes. Each asset class has a Basic plan at $0 with 5 calls a minute and end-of-day data. Stocks, options, currencies and futures history is 2 years. Websockets, snapshots, trades and quotes are not included.
Can I show Massive data in my own product?
Only under the Business terms. They allow display to authorised users inside your own products and derived works whose outputs contain no Massive information. They bar any data feed or API that substitutes for Massive, and exchange agreements may apply.
Does Massive have an economic calendar?
None appears in its documentation index. It has a US-only economy section and a forward-looking market holidays endpoint. Narwhal lists release dates with UTC times for the countries it covers.
How many tools does the Massive MCP server have?
The self-hosted server in Massive's repository lists 3: search_endpoints, call_api and query_data. The hosted server is described as a small set of composable tools, without a count. The repository marks the self-hosted version experimental.
