Equities methodology and coverage

Instrument identity, venue sessions, split adjustment and the boundaries of the 102-instrument release.

Coverage

The first release covers 102 accepted active direct common-stock instruments. Discovery is the authority for available instruments; this is not a complete global market or exchange directory.

Use a returned instrument ID for detail and history. Preserve its currency, MIC and exchange; a ticker is not a globally unique identity.

Daily bars

Each bar represents a closed daily venue session. The date is the local exchange session date, and metadata includes the exchange timezone. Prices are in the instrument currency.

The supported adjustment is splits. This is not a dividend-adjusted or total-return series. Open, high, low, close and volume are decimal strings. History is returned newest first; missing sessions are not filled with invented bars.

Publication and limits

A complete validated instrument history is published atomically. Failed refreshes preserve the previous accepted publication. Compare the latest returned session date with the venue calendar when assessing freshness.

The refresh runs daily. The API does not offer intraday prices, live quotes, dividends, fundamentals or forecasts. Coverage can differ by instrument.
